A New Avatar in my Musical, Empirical, Creative, and Spiritual Growth and Evolvement Led me to Composing, Recording, and Producing, Le Musee De L’Impressionnisme!
This New Avatar, (at The Time) began in 1975, while on a visit to the City of Light, Paris, France. I had returned there after my work on my album The Way (First Book of Experiences) came to an end.
Composing, recording, arranging, producing and releasing the album on my own Mithra label, along with producing the stage show, had been a deeply felt experience. And It took a level of commitment and dedication, that was both unrelenting and challenging! Coupled with that of being my own manager! And I needed to take time out to re-energize, and feel at peace within myself!
As it turned out, a friend and fellow musician from New York City also happened to be in Paris while I was there. And they encouraged me to visit the Jeu De Paume, located at the edge of the Tuileries Gardens facing Place de la Concorde. At that time, it was the primary home for the Earth’s Most Inspiring Collection of Nineteenth Century Impressionist and Post-Impressionist Masterpieces.
Each room was focused on a specific impressionist artist. When you entered La Chambre de Claude Monet you were surrounded by his Water Lilies Floating on the surface of his pond in Giverny.As it turned out, a friend and fellow musician from New York City also happened to be in Paris while I was there. And they encouraged me to visit the Jeu De Paume, located at the edge of the Tuileries Gardens facing Place de la Concorde. At that time, it was the primary home for the Earth’s Most Inspiring Collection of Nineteenth Century Impressionist and Post-Impressionist Masterpieces.
And Seeing the Magnificent Artwork of All of these Masters inspired me to begin Composing Song after Song of what was to become Le Musee De L'Imprssionnisme! And the Birth of A New Avatar in my Life!
Being in the midst of all these extraordinary paintings, and learning about the extreme difficulties that they went through, also reminded me of the career challenges that artists in New York City of All Genres were experiencing! And All of which provided me with further incentive, motivation, and passion, to compose lyrics and music about each Impressionist that I ended up Featuring in Le Musee, on my guitar!

And Each day after viewing these Extraordinary Masterpieces, I would walk back along the River Seine to the Hotel that I was staying in (Hotel Saint Severin) on the Left Bank, and began composing songs inspired by the Imaginative Art and Artists, that I had Visually, Creatively, and Spiritually Emerged myself within.
And I vividly recall walking along the Seine singing the melody and lyrics of the First Song that I composed for Le Musee De L'Impressionnisme, of what was to become, "Claude Monet (A Visionary of Time and Space and The Light)."
Experiencing The Magical, and Extraordinarily Magnificence, and Imaginative Paintings and Lives of The Impressionists, Produced An Evocation of Ideas that were Enlightening and Creatively Uplifting! And I felt the Empowerment of A Regenerative Spirit to Share The Music, Lyrics, and Interludes, of A Progressive Rock Operetta Album Concept Called; Robert Callender Le Musee De L'Impressinisme! And Inspired me to Record, Produce and Perform with a Very Talented Ensemble of Musicians, Singers, and Dancers in A Multi- Media Stage Presentation, that Included Songs that were Influenced by the Innovative Virtuosity of Greatness Personified by Les Impressionnistes, from; Senses and Soul, to Les Impressionnistes, and Bienvenue Au Musee De L'Impressionnisme, and from Claude Monet, to Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and from Edgar Degas to Berthe Morisot, and from Vincent van Gogh to Paul Gauguin, and from Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec to Jean-Frederic Bazille, and The Baptism Of Impressionism! As we Toured Through The Deux Etages de Le Musee De L'Impressionnisme!
And Here we are Celebrating The Audio CD, Limited Vinyl Pressing, and Special Remastering of ROBERT CALLENDER LE MUSEE De L'IMPRESSIONNISME 50th ANNIVERSARY EDITION, and of What was for me and Still is, An Uplifting, Enlightening, Empirical, Creative, Collaborative, Spiritual, Musical and Lyrical Event Horizon of Unlimited Potential, that I Now have The Immense Pleasure of Sharing with You, via TLAK!
